About the event

The Wildlife Team at Neath Port Talbot Council has secured funding to bring more nature into Port Talbot's urban area. Thanks to support from the Local Places for Nature scheme, which is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Welsh Government, we're making it happen.

We're starting with the M4 underpass, from Llewellyn Street to Pentylla-Baglan Road.

Here's what we're doing: planting wildflowers and creating a meadow, adding green screens to soften the appearance of concrete structures, putting in planters, adding murals created by local artists showcasing our native plants and animals, and improving lighting.

This will help wildlife connectivity, make the air cleaner, manage water better, and improve the space for everyone using it.

Please come along to our engagement session to see the designs, and feedback on anything you would like to see now or in the future. Or to join us for a free tea/coffee…
