We were overwhelmed by the support for the launch of ‘The State of Nature and Nature Recovery Action Plan for Neath Port Talbot’ at the Gwyn Hall in Neath on Wednesday 28th February 2024. Over 140 people joined us to learn how nature is faring in Neath Port Talbot and to discuss how we can all help to improve the state of nature in our county. Representatives from statutory bodies, community groups, NGOs and businesses all joined together and pledged to take whatever action they could to help nature.
Thank you to our Chair Dr Charles Hipkin for presenting the findings and to our lightning speakers for inspiring us all, to the pupils from Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School for telling us how important nature is to them, to Iolo Williams for being a fantastic host as expected, to Goho for their hard work helping to organise the event and to the Neath Port Talbot Council Countryside and Wildlife Team for being excellent helpers on the day.
And lastly, the biggest thank you goes to the partners from NPT Local Nature Partnership, without whom there would be no State of Nature or Nature Recovery Action Plan. You all helped us to make the day a success, we hope we have captured everyone below!:
